Choices

The choice is ours; ours alone
especially if we claim to be grown
why is life so complicated we ask
it's not really; just how we handle the task
of life; decisions we make day to day
with logic or emotions to lead the way
but never our spirit do we ever indulge
to busy cursing life and holdin a grudge
against everything and everyone one
never responsible for what we've done
hoping for others to help us decide
what we already know deep inside
that we have the power born within
how to succeed; and how to win
our hearts desires; the life we create
from our actions; choices we make
so don't be afraid to take the chances
and follow your spirit; not circumstances
because that excuse we are often prone
instead of realizing the choice is ours; ours alone!
